Doin' things

Allegra Jane is a special blend of songstress and social entrepreneur.

With a passion for both music and human rights, Allegra uses her immersive experiences studying music in NYC, Germany and West Africa to create a sound that former Clipse road manager Regan Sommer McCoy calls "effortlessly soulful". Cultural influences and music are the lenses through which she reimagines solutions around the problems of today and works to bring a freshness to the culture of consciousness.

COst ep

Cost is Allegra Jane's forthcoming EP slated for release in March 2018. The record is a collaboration with veteran producer Shareef "TekMaschine" Islam of Azteknique Productions. Over his twenty year career, Islam has worked with many genre luminaries including Lauryn Hill, Raphael Siddiq, Q-Tip, Mos Def, De La Soul, Jay Z, Busta, Rhymes, and Missy Elliot. He and Allegra Jane first forged a creative partnership while she was enrolled in his production course at NYC's Dubspot music school. They have spent the past year honing a signature sound that weaves Allegra Jane's velvety timbre through a mosaic of hazy RNB instrumentals.

Hip-hop education center

Allegra is currently the Operations Manager at the Hip- Hop Education Center alongside Martha Diaz, Regan Sommer McCoy and Julia Geist. The Hip- Hop Education Center is a social enterprise model that serves as a catalyst for social equity and change through a centralized learning and archival management system that re-imagines education & community engagement through Hip-Hop culture.
